👩🏻‍💼 Business Thought!

Last month I talked about some ways to take small steps in starting your business. From posting on social media, to persevering through difficult times, there are so many little things that will help get you off the ground!

At the beginning of my business, it took me a while to build up clientele and gain engagement on my online spaces. But one thing I found helped a lot was to get out into my community and network!

If you’re selling a physical product, doing small local markets is a great way to get people to follow and engage with your work! This can also work if you are selling a service! Get out there, get your product or pamphlet in peoples hands and watch your business grow!

Don’t forget to ask for feedback! Hearing what your costumers love or don’t love about your brand is the best way to fix small mistakes before they become big ones. Plus the positive feedback will brighten your day and let you know you’re on the right track! Keep it up! ❤️

🛍️ New Resources!

You can now find different resources on my website under blog posts!

From information about Raku pottery, to FAQs about my lessons, and even resources for beginner potters, its all there for you to discover!

I’m always looking for new and beneficial things to post about, so if there is something you’d like me to go in to detail about, please let me know and I will be happy to cover it on my blog!

I hope you find some useful tips in there, including what groups I am a part of online to grow my business!

🧽 Pottery Tools I Love!

One of the most asked questions I get from new potters is, what wheel should they invest in when starting out. With so many options out there, it can be tough to decide on a wheel that is both quality and budget friendly.

My number one recommendation for a starter wheel is the Shimpo VL Lite. It is a full sized wheel that can handle 25lbs of centring capacity. This is more than enough power to handle all of your projects when starting your journey in pottery!

Did you see my pic of the month last month? That large vase was thrown on the Shimpo VL Lite! Wowee!!

Not only is it powerful, but it is one of the most budget friendly, professional wheels on the market with a price tag of $1,375.

It’s light weight, relatively quiet, and sturdy enough to handle long hours of throwing. I own one myself and am delighted to have it as a part of my wheel collection!

Here’s a link to check it out yourself!

📷 Pottery Pic of the Month!

Teaching my partner how to make his first pot! He made a beautiful bowl that he gifted to his mom all the way in Australia! I love this picture of our hands and I use it all the time in my marketing for pottery lessons ❤️

Thats all for the month! Thank you all for subscribing and being a part of my pottery journey! Stay tuned for the next email update coming in January!

Love,
