👩🏻‍💼 Business Thought

Last month we discussed the holiday crazies and how to handle them. This month I would like to talk about resolutions and how I view them!

With a new year comes new years resolutions, which are a great way to set your intentions for growth over the coming months! Whether its one big goal or many small goals, its important to remember that as long as you do your best, any outcome is a great success!

For my resolutions, I have chosen two major goals, and a few small ones. To me, the big goals help push me to work extra hard, while the small goals give me little victories along the way to be proud of.

My two big goals are, 1 quit smoking for good, and 2 have my first six figure year. These are major goals that get me excited and motivated to work! Though I know I may slip up with smoking, every day I don’t smoke is a huge victory to my physical and mental health, and the more days I bank not smoking, the more I believe I can achieve my ultimate goal of quitting for good. I won’t beat myself up if I slip, but I will use it as motivation to keep going and be stronger in the future.

Having a six figure income year is also an incredibly lofty goal, and I don’t seriously believe it is even realistic. But if I work hard to try and achieve it, and as a result, make more income this year than I did last, than thats a huge victory worth celebrating and being proud of!

My small goals are simple tasks that when completed, give me a huge boost in confidence and return more value to me than the effort required to achieve them. For example, launching my Patreon! This doesn’t take too much effort to achieve, but with steady work can become a huge asset to me in the future. Another example of a small goal is starting a new series that branches off of my already popular Roll 4 Dragon series!

These small goals can be accomplished in a short period of time, and have limitless potential for growth. I can get the almost instant satisfaction of completing a task, which is already such a benefit to my overall mood, as well as the potential for new streams of income. This can also contribute to my overall major goal of greater financial success! A win win no matter the outcome!

So when you make your resolutions for the new year, dream big as well as small! Push yourself to achieve the unachievable and celebrate when you fall short of it. Give yourself realistic goals that you can grab early in the year and will set you up for greater successes in the future!

I already know this year is going to be great, because I won’t shy away from my dreams, and I hope you do the same with yours!

Over the last year we managed to hit two major milestones!! We got to 5k followers on instagram and 10k followers on TikTok!! 🧽 Pottery Tools I love!

Last diamond core tool I will mention are these diamond dremel bits! Great for drilling holes, or for grinding off glaze that ran a little too far in the kiln! These bits have saved my pots many times and are such an asset to my studio! You can find these and all things diamond core here!
