👩🏻‍💼 Business Thought! 

Last month we talked about self care while working hard. This month I would like to talk about manifesting your dreams!

Whether you believe in manifesting events or not, the effects of manifesting on your mindset are substantial!

Every morning my partner and I wake up and say out loud “today is going to be a good day.” We say it with passion and belief, sometimes even chanting it in a silly sing-song style while dancing and clapping like maniacs. But whether good things happen that day or not, we started it with intention, positivity, and laughter.

When I walk out the door, i’m ready to receive positivity and I open my mind to opportunity. This makes it so that when one good event happens, like an order being placed on my website, or an inquiry for pottery lessons, it takes my good mood and amplifies it even more!

When I start my day this way, and it turns out to be not such a great day, I can handle the negativity better because it takes more energy from the world to bring down my elevated mood. I can more easily brush off the bad, and refocus on building my positive vibes back up.

So whether or not manifesting your dreams is real, it is certainly a healthy way to think and can really help you to not let the crap in life hurt your mood (as much).

Today is going to be a good day friends! Get out there and enjoy it ❤️

🧽 Pottery Tools I Love!

I’m loving this new Black Sparkle Engobe by Mayco! It makes an amazing base for a bright pop of colour on top for your pots while having a subtle sparkle that catches the eye! One great thing about it is it behaves similar to underglaze, where you can put it on the bottom of your pots and it won’t stick to your kiln shelf! I still like to leave the bottoms of my pots unpainted, but I’m confident in knowing I can go right down to the edge with no fear! Try it yourself!

📷 Pottery Pic of the Month!

It’s Raku season!! I can’t wait to get out there this summer and fire some more Raku pots! Here are a couple I did two weekends ago as a demo during my Raku class at NewMakeIt! We will see if Petroff Gallery in Toronto would like to add them to my collection they carry, but if not then they will be hitting my online shop!
