👩🏻‍💼 Business Thought

Last month we discussed lack of belief. This month I’d like to discuss celebrating successes!

As you work hard to better your life and career, it’s important to remember to celebrate your successes! It’s easy to get hung up on your goals and eventually stop seeing your progress as you creep toward that finish line.

I’ve had this happen to me as I worked to improve my financial situation. At first the goal was to just get out of debt, but then as I hit that, the goal post moved to save up an emergency fund. Then once that was achieved, the goal moved to catch up on retirement.

This is where i’m currently at, but I found myself starting to suffer a bit. I would look at things I wanted, like new clothes, or a clean pair of shoes and find myself stuck in the saving mentality. I would tell myself no you cant have that or, thats not in the budget. But it really is okay to reward yourself on your journey.

So instead I told myself, hey you’ve just saved up a 6 month emergency fund, how about you get yourself a new pair of shoes. Then when I got my retirement account going, I took myself to buy a new outfit.

Once I allowed myself to celebrate my successes a little, I found my stress levels around money actually eased off.

At the beginning of my journey it was imperative that I spent as little as possible in order to climb out of debt, but now I need to allow myself some grace to feel proud of what I have achieved.

So whatever it is you are working towards, remember to give yourself little rewards along the way! Just don’t overdo it! 😉❤️

🧽 Tools I Love!!!

Here is one of my absolute favourite glazes!! It is called “Amaryllis” by the glaze brand Mayco! I feel like orange is such an underrated colour, and this orange with the blooms of yellows and browns is just gorgeous. It is a cone 5/6 glaze and needs 2-3 brush on coats to look its best. You can find it here!
