Last month we discussed debt management and saving, this month I would like to talk about the use of AI in your business.

AI is a controversial tool, and I am a believer that there are good ways and bad ways to use AI to assist your business.

Some definite DO NOTS for AI are.. Getting AI to make your artwork, AI steals its generated art from other artists, you should not be profiting off of stolen artwork. Having AI write everything for you, this makes you sound less human and your readers can tell. Getting AI to make your promotional material. Consumers can tell, and most people are very against not supporting living graphic designers to create things like logos and as a result, will not want to support your business.

Some DO’S for AI.. Ask AI how to use Shopify or Etsy to create your shop. It can be tough scouring the internet for this information, and AI can walk you through step by step how to create a site! Ask AI how to run successful Ads on social media platforms! It can be hard to decipher all of the nuances of running Ads, and AI can help you filter out options that may not benefit your reach. Ask AI for help coming up with a daily routine that will help you stay focused and accomplish important tasks without getting distracted!

Whenever I use AI, I speak to it like it is an advisor. I let it assist and educate me, but I never have it do things for me. When I was building my website, I had a hard time with things like coding my intake form for pottery lessons. This was a great question for AI, who walked me through step by step, how to code an intake form that sends me an email when filled out.

Singlehandedly running a business is incredibly hard, and there will be plenty of ideas you will have that will be hard to execute when you have no experience. Asking AI for assistance is a great way to learn, but don’t be lazy. People can tell when you use AI to cut corners and it does not help your business when you seem like you’re a robot.

Finny has a dedicated shelf in our home. Nothing is allowed to occupy Finny’s shelf except prince Finnius. 👑 This is where he looks down on us peasants while we watch the magic picture box.
